❓ Frequently Asked Questions
To find the sale price: Sale Price = Original × (1 − Discount%/100). For 25% off $200: $200 × 0.75 = $150. Savings = $200 × 0.25 = $50. To find discount %: ((Original − Sale) / Original) × 100 = ((200−150)/200) × 100 = 25%.
Stacked discounts are applied one after another, NOT added together. For 20% off then 10% off on $100: Apply 20% → $80, then apply 10% to $80 → $72. This is NOT the same as 30% off ($70). Stacked discounts always give a smaller saving than a single combined discount.
Original Price = Sale Price / (1 − Discount%/100). For example, if an item is $150 after 25% off: $150 / (1 − 0.25) = $150 / 0.75 = $200. Use the "Original Price" tab in our calculator to solve this instantly.
